Scheduling a Shoot
Because I am a part-time photographer, I am usually only available on nights and weekends. I can accommodate a very limited number of weekday shoots so long as they are made with at least two weeks notice. The average portrait shoot is 60 to 90 minutes in length and the best times of day to schedule are almost always early morning and late afternoon (at least if the shoot is outside). I'm familiar with a handful of locations in the Austin area, but always encourage you to pick a location that is familiar and comfortable to the subject; I can make nice pictures in almost any location, but I can't get the best smiles if the subject is uncomfortable.
Delivery
All photos are shot with professional digital cameras and lenses, then delivered on CD and in an online (usually password-protected) gallery for instant sharing with friends and relatives. All images are hand edited and processed to some degree before delivery to ensure they are of the highest quality I can reasonably make them before you ever see them. Unless special arrangements are made, all images are yours to print as many times as you like without additional charges from me. The usual shoot will include both color and black and white photos. I can provide sepia-toned and partially-colored images on request.
Copyright Policy
I have a very liberal copyright policy based on the philosophy that a picture of you should belong to you. I almost never charge per print of the photo, falling back to that model only when shooting a public event. You'll receive an explicit copyright release from me to have available should any questions arise at your favorite print lab. Commercial licenses are made available on a case-by-case basis.
